Maintenant Jamais

Maintenant Jamais is the third album from Montreal trio Population II, a full-throttle explosion of prog-rock, psych and fuzz. Anyone who has seen the band live knows just how hard they shred. Their shows can reach ear-bleeding levels of intensity, while the record captures a slightly more controlled version of that energy without losing its edge. Maintenant Jamais plays like a euphoric acid trip: heavy, warped and constantly in motion.

The album's initial vinyl release came in several variants, including Pastel Green (SCP22), Neon Pink (N6) and Coke Bottle Clear (T9). The brightest of the bunch is Lemon (O21), a vivid opaque yellow that pulls directly from the psychedelic album artwork. The record is housed in a gatefold jacket with a printed insert, completing a package that looks every bit as loud as the album sounds.
