Kiss Me In The Rain (Deluxe Edition)

A classically trained pianist and vocal coach, Texas-based Jessie Frye has long called Electronica, Pop and Synthwave her musical home. Her love of these genres and musical movements is evident upon listening to her debut album Kiss Me In The Rain released in 2020 on New York label NewRetroWave. Throughout the album’s ten tracks, Frye seamlessly blends retro synth instrumentation with current and even futuristic production and songwriting. Standouts include an anthemic collaboration with label mate Ollie Wride titled Malibu Broken, as well as the power pop track No Sleep, which wouldn’t sound out of place performed on a stadium tour. We’re confident that by the second or third listen through, you’ll be belting out the infectiously catchy lyrics alongside Frye, while perhaps donning a pair of vintage studded leather gloves for good measure.

Label NewRetroWave chose an impressive pair of effects for this deluxe edition release, with the A Side / B side combining our T2 (Clear) and O16 (Gold) colors as a Color In Color effect, with a O3 (Apple) and O22 (Blue Jay) splatter. The C/D side containing bonus tracks uses T3 (Cobalt) and O17 (Magenta) as a color in color effect, with a O4 (Orchid) and O22 (Blue Jay) platter. Both records are housed in a stunning gatefold jacket complete with lyrics and liner notes, a fittingly deluxe product for a deluxe edition release.
