Koji Kondo is one name all fans of classic video game scores will know. His sound design and arrangement work on the Super Mario Brothers and The Legend of Zelda series are forever attached to those beloved games.

Here, the restless creatives at LA based label iam8bit have released a lush 64-piece orchestral rendition of Koji’s Zelda: Ocarina Of Time score as a double disc vinyl experience. And if the music wasn’t breathtaking enough, the vinyl package is full of hidden easter eggs and deluxe design flourishes for the hardcore fan.

The gatefold jacket and board stock inner sleeves both contain custom die cuts and sparkling gold foil framing, housing A-side/B-side color effect records each matching the color of a world found within the game. The attention to detail both musically and visually is a big achievement, making this vinyl release a worthy addition to the Zelda canon.
